Meet Dr. Alejandra Sanchez
Founder & Lead Dentist, Lotus Family Dental
Dr. Alejandra Sanchez believes every patient deserves to be seen, heard, and genuinely cared for—a philosophy that guides every aspect of our practice.
Known for her gentle touch, calm demeanor, and clear communication, she puts every patient at ease—especially those with dental anxiety. Her honesty and clarity empower patients to make confident decisions about their oral health.
Originally from Colombia, Dr. Sanchez earned her dental degree in Medellín in 2003 and completed her U.S. training at UMDNJ in 2013. She has proudly served the Elmwood Park community ever since.
She is committed to continued excellence in cosmetic, restorative, and facial aesthetic dentistry.
Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, doing CrossFit, playing the piano, and spending time with her husband and their inspiring daughter.

With over 20 years of experience in the dental field and 8 years as a licensed hygienist, Ligia brings both expertise and genuine care to every patient interaction.
Originally from Colombia and fluent in both English and Spanish, she creates a welcoming and inclusive environment where patients feel comfortable and empowered throughout their oral health journey. A proud NYU graduate, Ligia stays current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and preventive care.
Known for her gentle touch and approachable nature, she has earned the trust and appreciation of both patients and colleagues.
Outside the office, Ligia enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved dog, bringing warmth and positivity to every aspect of her life.

Laura has been in the dental field for three years, bringing enthusiasm, care, and hands-on experience to every patient interaction.
As a skilled dental assistant, she provides attentive chairside support across a range of specialties within the profession.

With over 15 years of experience in the dental industry, Selma expertly manages our day-to-day operations, bringing strong leadership and a warm, team-focused approach. She fosters a positive environment where patients and staff feel truly valued.
Selma navigates challenges efficiently and encourages open communication within the team. Known for her reliability and approachability, she readily offers support and feedback to promote workplace growth.
As a mother of two, she brings patience, care, and compassion to every aspect of her role, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and heard. Her dual experience as a parent and office manager has shaped her into a leader who values kindness, collaboration, and community.

Front Desk and Insurance Coordinator
Annie has been a valued member of our team for four years. Although new to dentistry when she joined, her strong office background and quick learning made her an essential part of our practice.
She welcomes patients with warmth and clarity—handling scheduling, insurance, and treatment coordination with care. Annie takes time to explain procedures and review financial options, ensuring every patient feels informed and supported.
Outside of work, Annie has been married to her husband, Tony, for 26 years, and they share their home with their beloved dog, Adonis. She also enjoys crafting and runs a small business creating custom paper party décor and handmade designs.
